Finding happiness in small packages.

I think it is fair to say that my luck has not been the best of late.  It could be worse, but not the best.  Or, as my Dad and sister would say, my bucket is full.

I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma.  Out of the two types of lymphoma, which is a blood cancer, it is the better one to get.  Or at least, it has better odd of beating.  I have a PET/CT on Wednesday next week to help stage the disease.  Keep your fingers crossed.  Thanks to all that have offered and have already helped.  Yes Shawn, that means I appreciate the article, it is in my journal:)  I really just want to check all the big boxes at an early age...I am an overachiever.

On the same weekend Nellie, our dog, was killed by a car.  Being told I have cancer did not make me cry, losing a good friend did.  She was a dog that had that special something that earned the title, "man's best friend".  I will miss her.  Thanks Chuck for helping me that night.

Things to be happy for:
It is Hodgkin's not non-hodgkin
I got to know Nellie
Chuck was there just by chance
The Boss
My Family
Warm Weather
Planting Flowers
My students and the rewards they bring
People who have been through it... and know how to make it easier
My Friends
I can still use my right arm and can still talk
Good Books
Jake
Tiny little miracles (M,H,&C)
Google
Fans
Ipods
Coffee
McDonald's

OK, I am getting off track....
Anyways, This little toad gave the boss, me, and Jake a little fun
