A lot of big things going on right now. First, my grandma came home, it is really a miracle, and I am glad for her return.
Maggie is still cute, but getting big. She now holds her own head, rolls over, sits up (with a little help), looks right at you, and grabs beards (I love it).
The boss is starting to run with me. We have been out twice, both short runs, but I am happy to have her company, she runs really fast!!!!
These are some pictures of a flag. I thought they truned out kind of cool. It was dark and windy so it made some interesting effects.
There has been a topic that has been haunting me lately, screaming in the back of my mind, muffled by all of my thoughts. It is strange, I have written this beginning three times, those of you that know me know that I don’t rewrite. But, none of the words are working…they jumble on their way from my head to the screen.
I can hear them, I know they are there, why don’t they flow…it is like a crowded room that is on fire, everyone wants out at once, so no one gets out.
The topic that has been haunting is exploration. It is a weird topic to say is haunting, but I feel its ache in my thoughts. There is a thirst in all of us for exploration, most of our lives we try to quench this thirst, when we can’t we drown it in the details of life. The reason I bring this up is two fold. 1) I want to wish luck to my friend Dan. His last day of work is Friday…he is an explorer. I hope his adventure in his own talent gives rewards we can’t even imagine. 2) I am just wandering if I am the only one that actually wastes time thinking about the excitement of exploration. To be quite honest I find myself day dreaming a lot anymore. Day dreaming of out of the way places with a backpack, dog, and camera. To be continued.....
Good Luck Dan, it is not just the trail that lives on in you...it is the thirst.
